IBGE - Brussels

The REMs have been launched!

The first setup of the REMs Exhibition was built in the atrium of Brussels Environment during the Stakeholder Network meeting of BAMB, on January 22nd.

All the participants, together with the design&build team of &Lotte, Gielissen, EPEA and the BAMB consortium have worked intensively towards this date. Starting on Saturday January 20th, the build team of Gielissen constructed the frame in only three hours: our design for quick buildup proved itself. We have to admit: we were relieved, and proud, to see the exhibition arise in full, and to receive such positive feedback. Our many thanks go to everyone involved in pushing their agenda’s to finish the Materials Passports and product deliveries on time.

At the event, visitors were guided through the REMs during four workshops. The NFC-chips and QR-codes worked to load the Materials Passports on their smartphones. We collected the feedback to make adjustments for the next stop in London. Moreover, the REMs served well as a location to discover the latest circular building materials and to discuss how Materials Passports can be used by professionals throughout the built environment.

The current setup is a compact test version showing 30 participants. It can be visited on appointment until Friday January the 26th. The next stop is Ecobuild, London 06-08 March. Then, the full 100m2, and 70 participants strong exhibition will be showcased. At ecobuild a variety of events will be organized at the REMs; to be announced soon!
